Our Training Philosophy
-
Both the participants (the participant, family and support teams) and the dogs involved in the program have to be “socialised” and “trained”
-
Dog should never become “prompt dependent”
-
Never train a dog contrary to their instincts and character. Puppy selection imperative.
-
At NO TIME is the puppy chastise or disciplined. Puppy should not develop fears.
-
Puppy to be exposed to ALL of life and be fully socialised
-
The timing and length of program stages not fixed but depend on the puppy maturity, the cognitive skills and abilities of the client and the complexity of the goals.
-
The bonding process is critical once it starts it should be allowed to cement.
-
The program is defined, planned and monitored to achieve the agreed therapeutic goals agreed.
