Our Training Philosophy

  • Both the participants (the participant, family and support teams) and the dogs involved in the program have to be “socialised” and “trained”

  • Dog should never become “prompt dependent”

  • Never train a dog contrary to their instincts and character. Puppy selection imperative.

  • At NO TIME is the puppy chastise or disciplined. Puppy should not develop fears.

  • Puppy to be exposed to ALL of life and be fully socialised

  • The timing and length of program stages not fixed but depend on the puppy maturity, the cognitive skills and abilities of the client and the complexity of the goals.

  • The bonding process is critical once it starts it should be allowed to cement.

  • The program is defined, planned and monitored to achieve the agreed therapeutic goals agreed.
